Review: Dangerous to Know and Love by Jane Harvey-Berrick

5+ Stars

Nineteen year old Daniel Colton is the guy all the girls want to date, and the man all the guys want to be. Moody, with an explosive temper, closed off and sullen, he’s also beautiful, tatted in delicious ways, with a pierced eyebrow and spiky black hair. It’s rumoured he has piercings in other places, too. Is he really mad, bad and dangerous to know?

Daniel lives with his older brother, Zef, and their home is party central. You want drugs, a good time, liquor, no questions asked? Colton’s is the place to go.

When Daniel and good girl Lisanne Maclaine have to work together on assignment, Lisanne finds there’s a lot more to the college’s bad boy than his reputation. He’s intelligent and funny and good company. And then she discovers his secret, why he’s so closed off to everyone, and determined to keep people at arms’ length. But being his secret-keeper is harder than she ever dreamed.

Recommended for readers 18+ due to sexual references and sex scenes, some coarse language, drug references and drug use.

My Thoughts; This book was sent to me by the author for an honest review, and honestly I. AM. IN. LOVE.

I have the most awful book hangover ever right now. At the beginning I was intrigued and then I was engrossed!! I haven't been seriously taken by a single character in quite some time (not counting the sequels etc from my fav series). I am not really sure how to describe the story without giving away Daniel's secret. I am 100% behind people finding out as they read.

I have to admit that I was not overly fond of either of the lead characters at first. I was curious as to how the book would progress and how they would earn a place in my heart, so I kept reading. Lisanne was a little self-righteous for my taste. She judged everyone by first sight or encounter and that really got under my skin. You can't know everything thing there is to know about a person from watching them across a room. Daniel was the typical bad boy type that we have all seen (and loved) before. He makes you wanna know more while simultaneously pissing you off. Seriously Dude!! Dont be a dick!!

And then .... then .... you know. This thing that Daniel is hiding, this thing he doesn't want anyone to know. Suddenly, you are looking at everything from a completely different perspective. Lisanne begins to see things the way they really are and from that point on I was completely and totally done for. I hope any one who is reading this review will click the link and buy this book. I guarantee that it will touch you in some way, some how.
